Burlington, VT– After a long, cold winter, it’s finally time for summer and a quick EMC update! After a short break at the end of the semester, EMC work resumed mid-May. Teams dove headfirst into their projects:

• The Enter the Cave team is in the midst of developing its game for a client.
• Make a Change is also hard at work developing their game.
• Both the Sandbox Team and MakerLab are preparing for the ArtHop, Maker Faire, and Tech Jam.
• The VTIFF team is preparing for the Vermont Film Festival.
• BREAKAWAY is continuing to spread it’s message of gender equality.

The EMC was also visited by local high school students. The students were given a tour of the EMC and MakerLab; they had a chance to test out a couple of EMC projects for Enter the Cave and Make A Change. Their feedback is highly appreciated for development and improving upon project designs. The teams are also looking forward to future student visits coming up in the weeks ahead.

This summer is poised to be a success. Everyone who decided to spend their summer here is excited to do so and are rewarded with occasional puppy visits. Here’s to a fun and productive summer!
